Prime Partner Program: "Banking on Justice"

The Prime Partner program recognizes banks that support justice for all by paying higher interest on IOLTA accounts than is legally required. Currently, Prime Partner banks pay a net interest rate of 0.5%.

Since the 2008 recession, Minnesota has experienced a catastrophic plunge in IOLTA revenue. Low interest rates have cut IOLTA revenue by $3.4 million per year from the peak in 2007.

The loss of IOLTA revenue translates to inadequate funding for civil legal services and pro bono programs, which help people meet their families' basic needs for shelter, safety and health.
