In recent years, the Minnesota Supreme Court has
demonstrated a willingness to take on important cases affecting the employment rights
of Minnesotans. In so doing, one thing has become clear: the Minnesota
Supreme Court is not simply taking its cues on employment law from
the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. This panel will discuss the significance of
this jurisprudence—along with recent employment cases at the U.S. Supreme Court—on
the foreseeable future of employment law in Minnesota.
