Who We Are

With over 750 members, the Labor & Employment Law Section is one of the largest Sections of the MSBA.  The Section provides to its members:
  • In-depth information on labor and employment law issues through an e-newsletter, two annual institutes, and many presentations and CLE offerings.
  • Opportunities to meet with and build a network of contacts through seminars and events.

Call for Nominations

Leonard Lindquist Distinguished Practice Award

The MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section invites nominations for the Leonard Lindquist Distinguished Practice Award. The Section’s Governing Council established this award several years ago as a way of periodically recognizing Section members who have made an outstanding contribution to labor or employment law practice in Minnesota.

Honorable Michael J. Davis Pro Bono Award

The MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section invites nominations for the Labor and Employment Pro Bono Award. The Section’s Governing Council established this award as a way of recognizing Section members who have demonstrated substantial pro bono involvement in the preceding year, related to Labor and Employment Law.

MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section Council

The Labor & Employment Law Section Council is currently accepting nominations for council members for the 2019–2020 council term, beginning July 1, 2019.  The two-year term officially ends on June 30, 2021.  
 
Persons interested in serving on the council may nominate themselves or accept nomination by another member of the section.  Nominations should include:

1) Nominee’s name
2) Nominee’s firm/organization
3) Nominee’s bio or link to bio
4) Short statement of interest
5) Nominator’s name and contact information if different from nominee.
