This presentation will focus on the proposed changes to
NAFTA as agreed to by the United States, Mexico and Canada in September 2018.
The speaker will provide information on the impact of, and
a brief history of the current treaty, the
principal changes to the treaty to be reviewed by and voted on by
Congress, the process for approval of the amended treaty and
some important questions and considerations regarding the impact of the changes.
We will also address the tariffs imposed on steel and other imports
and the implications of the amended treaty on the imposition, maintenance
and possible elimination of the tariffs.
