Head Shot - Ben Olson  Benjamin Olson is a 2017 graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law and currently practices as an Assistant County Attorney with the Otter Tail County Attorney’s Office. In addition to practicing law full-time, Benjamin also serves as a board member with Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota (LSNM).

Early in his legal career, Benjamin became involved with Central Minnesota Legal Services (CMLS). While working with CMLS, as a 1L, Benjamin discovered that he had a passion for ensuring that all individuals had access to quality legal services. Throughout his time at CMLS, Benjamin advocated for access to the civil justice system for all individuals by providing high-quality legal services to people living in poverty and by empowering self-advocacy skills through legal education.

Upon graduating from law school, Benjamin knew that he wanted to continue to serve low-income clients by ensuring that all individuals had access to quality legal services. This passion led Benjamin to Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota. Since 2018, Benjamin has been working diligently with LSNM as a donor and board member to provide access to justice and spread the word about the availability of these services.

Benjamin understands the importance of programs like LSNM - “Programs like LSNM are critical to changing people’s lives and giving them the ability to improve their quality of life.”
