Human Trafficking in Minnesota

Event Description

Deadline to Register: April 19, 2016

This CLE will provide an overview and history of the Minnesota laws on human trafficking and describe opportunities for advocacy for victims.  It will provide guidance for working with clients suffering trauma as a result of being trafficked.  The CLE will also address the particular circumstance of commercial sexual exploitation of children and the Safe Harbor approach of treating youth who engage in prostitution, not as criminals, but as victims and survivors to be treated with dignity and respect.

This is a brown bag session; no lunch will be provided.
