New Lawyers Section



What is the New Lawyers Section?

The MSBA New Lawyers Section is comprised of attorneys who were admitted to practice within the past six years or who are less than 36 years of age. The Section's efforts focus on professional development, community outreach, and networking.


Mission


To represent and promote involvement of new lawyers in the MSBA through organizational, educational, and networking opportunities.


Goals


To provide a new lawyers voice to the greater MSBA; to increase the membership and participation of new lawyers in the MSBA and specifically in the New Lawyers Section; to develop additional New Lawyers Section affiliates in outstate areas and encourage more statewide participation; to develop and effectuate specific, substantial benefits to all New Lawyers Section members, including providing opportunities for legal education and development of a referral network offering assistance with career opportunities; and to improve communication within the New Lawyers Section through means by utilizing MSBA tools and resources, such as the MSBA Communities.
