Diversity and Inclusion
The Section embraces the principles of diversity and inclusion. We do not view diversity as any single characteristic and appreciate that each member and potential member offers unique and valuable skills and perspectives that can advance the work of the Section. To that end, we will

1. seek out and promoting membership in the section among diverse persons;

2. encourage and supporting diverse persons already in the section membership to assume officer positions and leadership responsibilities;

3. seek out and promoting diverse persons to be CLE presenters; and

4. encourage membership and officers alike to embrace the diversity goals of the Section

Accordingly, the Section successfully recruited two non-male officers and one non-male council member. In addition, the section included three persons from greater Minnesota to serve on the section Council.  Further, the persons recruited by the section to present at CLEs were from diverse backgrounds.

Other Section Accomplishments
As a Section, we increased our collaboration with Solo Small and other sections, and our final CLE was cosponsored with the Solo Small and Probate and Trust Law Sections. In addition, we sponsored or cosponsored Headshot Day, so that our members would receive professional quality head shots at no cost, a reception afterwards, and are cosponsoring the MSBA Annual Convention, so that our members can attend at a reduced rate.  Also, we are co-sponsoring a sunrise session at the Solo Small Strategic Solutions Conference in Duluth.
