Event Description
Hybrid CLE + Social
(In-Person
Only)
The 2023 Legislature was perhaps the most prolific in
Minnesota history. But there was not a lot of focus on communications
issues. Many expect 2024 to be different. At this annual event sponsored
by the MSBA Communications Law Section, you’ll get a good high-level summary of
the currents that are expected to course through the 2024 Legislative Session.
You’ll also hear from Minnesota’s communications industry leaders about
legislation they expect to be working on this session. We’ll also talk
about what external factors might drive work at the Minnesota Legislature this
year, including developments relating to the Broadband Equity Access and
Deployment (BEAD) program, privacy legislation recently adopted in other states,
recent developments at the FCC. The program will be followed by a reception
hosted by the MSBA Communications Law Section and Fredrikson & Byron.
