Senior Living in the 21st Century- The Evolving Landscape of Options for Aging Minnesotans

Event Description

Online Registration is Closed. To register, please email Kara at kharo@mnbars.org

As baby boomers age, they demand new ways of imagining senior living. What will that mean for the landscape in Minnesota in the next 10-20 years? What will be available, and to whom, and how may Minnesota differ from other states? What impact has recent Minnesota legislation had, and how might the law need to adapt in the future?

Presenters:
Kari Thurlow is the president and CEO of LeadingAge Minnesota, an association of over 1,100 senior living and care providers throughout the state. Kari led LeadingAge’s legislative advocacy efforts for 15 years before taking the helm of the organization in 2022. Kari has a strong background in law and public policy and was engaged in the private practice of law for several years after obtaining her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
