Program Description:
The U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s
Health Organization created significant uncertainty for healthcare providers and
for employers. Join us for a discussion of the practical impacts of Dobbs
and how attorneys can best advise their clients facing a plethora of questions
arising from the decision: from federal preemption questions arising out of
EMTALA, to geo tracking to privacy and medical record documentation, the
different levels of liability that arise – from state licensure all the way to
criminal liability, and from local to national impacts. This conversation,
jointly hosted by the MSBA Health Law Section and the University of Minnesota
Law School Health Law and Bioethics student association, offers timely insight into the
everyday advice and counsel attorneys should consider to best prepare them
to help guide clients post
Dobbs.
