Please join us virtually on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm for the Eleventh Annual MSBA Children and the Law Summit. 

8:30 am:  Perspectives from Foster Families and the Asian/Pacific American community on the Child Protection Court System by Brook Mallak, Ombudsperson for Asian Pacific Families from the Office of Ombudsperson for Families at the State of Minnesota.
9:30 am:  Legal Representation and Advocacy for Children by Anne Gueinzius, Managing Attorney of the Children’s Law Center.
10:30 am:  Panel of Perspectives of Persons Formerly in Foster Care by three young people from the Youth Leadership Council.
11:30 am:  Judges’ Panel on Seeing the Child’s Perspective in Child Protection Cases and Strengthening Child Advocacy by Judge Janet Cain of Carver County,  Judge Anne Rasmusson of Polk County and Judge Korey Wahwassuck of Itasca County and facilitated by Judy Nord of the Children’s Justice Initiative.
