Please join us for a discussion of diversity and inclusion opportunities
within the Employee Benefits space. Our discussion will focus on potential
diversity and inclusion opportunities with external benefits service providers
and internal benefit offerings. Our goal is to help legal counsel understand
ways that they can assist clients or their company with the implementation of
diversity and inclusion goals within the employee benefits area.
This program will also seek to educate lawyers about the elimination of bias
or prejudice in the legal profession, in the practice of law, and/or in the
administration of justice by educating benefits attorneys on how benefits
programs with respect to which they provide legal advice may not meet the needs
of diverse employees or beneficiaries and identify some innovative features or
benefits that may help to address this.
Prior to the start of the CLE, the Section Council will host a brief
Annual Meeting and Elections to elect the incoming council members and officers
for the 2021-2022 bar year.
