THIS
SESSION IS OPEN TO ALL LAW STUDENTS AND NEW
LAWYERS
The MSBA, HCBA, and RCBA are holding a support
session for Minnesota law students adversely affected by the Derek Chauvin
trial and Daunte Wright killing. The New Lawyers Sections understand and
acknowledge the tremendous impact current events are having on students already
undergoing the stress of a legal education. This support session is
intended to be a safe and open space
where students can share, listen, support, and acknowledge those
experiencing trauma, pain, fatigue, and emotional distress, especially members
of Color. Erikka Ryan, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is
experienced and trained in racial trauma and crisis support and will be
facilitating the session.
This
session is co-sponsored by the MSBA, HCBA, and RCBA New Lawyers Sections,
Mitchell
Hamline Black Law Students Association
,
and Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL
Racial Trauma
Resources
