Are you canna-curious? Have you seen CBD for sale in your local gas station and
wondered, “What exactly is that?”
Jason Tarasek of Minnesota Cannabis Law
will educate you on all things cannabis during his primer for non-cannabis
attorneys.
Jason’s presentation will focus upon our
country’s fraught relationship with “cannabis sativa,” which is the plant
species that we commonly refer to as hemp or marijuana. You will learn
about laws applicable to industrial hemp, CBD, medical marijuana and adult-use
marijuana in Minnesota.
Jason will also share a case study related
to his client, a Minnesota hemp farmer, who was criminally charged after he
processed legal hemp into hemp wax that allegedly exceeded the legal limit for
THC. Jason successfully sued the Minnesota Department of Agriculture in
federal court to preclude the state from destroying his crop.
