St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Curt Flood
challenged Major League Baseball’s reserve clause. NFL Players John Mackey,
Reggie White and Tom Brady brought antitrust challenges against the National
Football League.
For decades, antitrust law has played a
significant role in major league sports. As those battles continue, the
fight has also expanded into the NCAA and other leagues. Learn the current
rules of the game – and those likely to change – in this presentation by two
lawyers who have been in the middle of many of the battles.
Lunch and registration will begin at
11:45 a.m.; CLE program will start promptly at 12:00
p.m.
