Most estate planning attorneys will eventually find
themselves working with a client who is at the end of their life. Although
estate planners are experts in the matters of post-death business, many
attorneys find it uncomfortable to discuss death itself. Failing to be an
effective communicator regarding this topic can inhibit the attorney-client
relationship. Further, working with clients at the end of their life can pose
unique ethical
considerations.
