Discussion
of Rule 17.02 of the Minnesota Rules of
Civil Procedure, under which the Court can appoint a Guardian Ad
Litem for an incompetent adult who is a party to a lawsuit.
We will flesh out scenarios under which this rule can be
employed in family court, and the ethical considerations in doing
so.
