Court Rule 17.02 Guardians ad Litem in Family Court and Ethical Considerations in Employing Rule 17.02

Discussion of Rule 17.02 of the Minnesota Rules of Civil Procedure, under which the Court can appoint a Guardian Ad Litem for an incompetent adult who is a party to a lawsuit.  We will flesh out scenarios under which this rule can be employed in family court, and the ethical considerations in doing so.
