The phrase "implicit bias" is used frequently, but what
exactly does it mean? Through examples, including optical illusions and group
exercises, this presentation showcases the ways in which we can exercise bias
without even realizing it; shares the latest research regarding its impact on
the legal profession (including the reasons people hire us); and discusses ways
to combat its effect.
