Two Legal Aid lawyers will
discuss how they each, in a very different, but related way, provide zealous
representation for low-income Minnesotans. Luke Grundman, a staff
attorney at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, will describe his day-to-day work providing
advice and direct representation to clients facing legal problems involving
consumer financial matters, including foreclosure, eviction, and contract for
deed scams. Ron Elwood, the supervising attorney for the Legal Services
Advocacy Project – the advocacy arm of Legal Aid – will describe his and the
project’s work to improve the lives of Legal Aid’s clients through public policy
advocacy at the Minnesota Legislature.
