Deadline
to Register: Monday, April 21, 2014
Competition
enforcement has spread around the globe in recent decades as competition
agencies come of age in developing and emerging economies. MSBA antitrust council member Michael
Jacobs recently returned to the U.S. after spending two years with one of Latin
America’s oldest and most respected competition enforcers, the Fiscalía Nacional
Económica in Chile. He will speak
about competition enforcement trends in Latin America and in Chile,
specifically the challenges facing competition agencies in small emerging
economies, competition agencies’ strategies for addressing those challenges, and
his experiences as a U.S. lawyer working in a foreign legal system.
Breakfast
will begin at 7:45 a.m. followed by the CLE program from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Special meal requests need to be received no
later than Monday, April 21.
This CLE will be held at the offices of Greene Espel PLLP,
