The Family Law Section's purpose is to promote the practice of family law as a profession and provides for the exchange of information about family law among Minnesota attorneys. Committees include Amicus, Diversity & Inclusion, Publications, Domestic Abuse, Greater Minnesota and Legislative.
What We Do | Section Benefits and Activities
Benefits for members of the Family Law Section:
- Quarterly publication, The Family Law Community Forum
- Opportunity to participate in legislative process
- Earn up to 9 free CLE credits per bar year
- Attend a satellite CLE meeting in outstate MN to network with local colleagues
- Get an opportunity to have your voice heard by serving on one of the many section committees
- The Family Law Section-sponsored seminar with topics of interest to family law practitioners.

New Section Meeting Time-frame: The Family Law Section hosts a monthly Section meeting on the second Saturday every month from 10:45 am - 12:15 pm (September - May). Remote participation.
