Organizations increasingly negotiate contracts for goods
and services incorporating cybersecurity and privacy language to protect their
assets. Privacy and data protection statutes also require contractual provisions
communicating privacy and cybersecurity requirements for compliance purposes.
This session will introduce statutory obligations for cybersecurity and privacy
language and the most common contractual provisions incorporating these
requirements, discuss how to protect your organization’s digital assets
contractually, and review how common contractual provisions may need to evolve
to consider the financial effects of data breaches.
