The MSBA's Practice Management & Marketing Section Presents
"Lawyers, Meet the Future. Future, Meet Lawyers. Happy Days or Culture Clash? What's Law Practice Going to Look Like in 2020?"
Eight years from now isn't all that far away, so we aren't going to go all Jetsons on you. But we're not going to offer any reassurances that everything will be just the same either -- because we don't believe it.
The legal recession and nearly a generation of evolution of the Internet has accelerated change even for the two groups that have historically most effectively resisted it -- courts and lawyers.
Let's explore the road ahead with an open mind. What's likely? Possible?
What's around the corner? What's could be coming out of left field?
What's happening with the next generation of clients? What are those "non-lawyers" up to, anyway?
What should we be doing so we can welcome rather than fear the future?
If you come with your own questions and observations, this will turn into more of a dialogue than a presentation.
