"Ditching the NLRA for the Sherman Act: the Impact on the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB"
Join us for drinks, dinner and a fascinating program as well as an insider's view of Target Field. The MSBA Labor & Employment Section will host its 2011 Annual Dinner, Elections, Awards and CLE program in the Target Field Metropolitan Club.
The evening will feature a cocktail hour with behind the scenes tours of the Target Field, including your chance to see the dugout and the World Series rings and trophies up close. This unique opportunity will be followed by a delicious dinner and the Section's annual meeting, elections and awards presentation. The night will be capped off by a CLE program featuring Clark Griffith.
Clark Griffith is a lawyer and arbitrator with a rich background in advising business organizations and sports leagues. In keeping with our sports theme for the event, Mr. Griffith will speak on the fascinating intersection of antitrust and labor law. He will provide insight as to why the NFL Players Association wants to leave the National Labor Relations Act behind and embrace the Sherman Act, and how this will impact the NBA, the NHL and the MLB.

His clients include various business organizations where he acts as General Counsel, Sports leagues, where he advises in the areas of team and league operation and inter-league relationships, and related litigation matters. Mr. Griffith is also an American Arbitration Association arbitrator of commercial disputes.

Refunds will be processed for cancellation requests received in writing on or before noon on the registration deadline.
