The MSBA's Health Law Section Presents
Health Insurance Exchange:
An In-depth Review of Current Developments
Legislation will likely be introduced during the 2012 Minnesota Legislative Session to establish a state health insurance exchange based on recommendations of the Health Insurance Exchange Task Force (chaired by Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman). Please join your Health Law Section colleagues for an in-depth discussion on the current status of the MN health insurance exchange and how its development and implementation may affect your clients. Panelists Mary Foarde and Dannette Coleman, both members of the Health Insurance Exchange Task Force, will provide insight on the task force’s recommendations and issues such as adverse selection and navigators. Manny Munson-Regala will speak on exchange development in other states.
Previous section programs have provided overviews of this component of health care reform. This program will review, in detail, the looming issues concerning insurance exchange development.
