The MSBA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section Presents
"Who's the client? and other ethical dilemmas for mediators"
What do you do when a lawyer from one side wants you to persuade his own client of something? What happens when a lawyer and a client from the same side start bickering? Should a mediator ever sign a Settlement Agreement? Join the ADR Section Council as we act out realistic vignettes that place mediators in tough spots. We'll present several challenging scenarios and then have a lively discussion about the best ways for the mediator to respond.
