Committees and Other Section Activities 

You can become active in the Tax Section by:

  • Attending monthly Tax Council meetings
  • Becoming a member of the Tax Council
  • Writing an article for the quarterly newsletter
  • Attending the Annual Tax Institute (in the fall)
  • Attending the Annual Judges Conference and Seminar (in the summer)
  • Joining one of the following committees:
    • Long-Range Planning Committee
    • Tax Institute Planning Committee
    • Community Service Award Nominations Committee
    • Distinguished Service Award Nominations Committee
    • Ad hoc committees to review legislative or regulatory proposals

MNDOR Comments and Feedback Request

There are two Notices that the MNDOR would like us to review and provide comments by May 16, 2017.

(1) Estate Tax - This Notice relates to how a nonresident decedent's estate is taxed related to real and tangible property having situs in Minnesota, pursuant to MN Stat. 291.005.

(2) Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBI) - This Notice relates to the calculation of Net Operating Loss Carryforwards for exempt entities pursuant to 290.05.
