Committees and Other Section Activities 

You can become active in the Tax Section by:

  • Attending monthly Tax Council meetings
  • Becoming a member of the Tax Council
  • Writing an article for the quarterly newsletter
  • Attending the Annual Tax Institute (in the fall)
  • Attending the Annual Judges Conference and Seminar (in the summer)
  • Joining one of the following committees:
    • Long-Range Planning Committee
    • Tax Institute Planning Committee
    • Community Service Award Nominations Committee
    • Distinguished Service Award Nominations Committee
    • Ad hoc committees to review legislative or regulatory proposals

2017 Review and Comment Committee documents


The first draft Notice relates to the taxation of golf, country club and athletic facility membership fee and is a revocation of RN 00-05.

The second draft Notice addresses room rental charges in connection with admissions to places of amusement, recreational areas and athletic events.  

Please consider the draft Revenue Notices at the organizational level and provide written comments to Alexander Korzhen at akorzhen@taxops.com by September 1, 2017.
