Staff from the Legal Rights Center
(Beau RaRa and Malaika Eban) will be discussing the upcoming closure of the
Hennepin County Home School and the opportunities it provides for attorneys and
community members to advocate for a new approach to youth justice. This CLE will
cover ongoing advocacy to eliminate out of home placements and the racial
disparities pervasive in the youth justice system by building up a network of
support that effectively meets the needs of youth and
families.
