Event Description
Deadline
to Register: February
11, 2014
For
twenty years family law attorneys have been using parenting consultants to
address parenting related issues in high-conflict custody cases. Though the practice is now wide spread,
it is only in the past few years that Minnesota’s Court of Appeals has begun
weighing in on the parenting consulting process. This CLE will address how to effectively
use parenting consultants in family law practice, including a discussion of
recent case law developments regarding parenting consulting, as well as the
development of best practice standards by the Association of Family and
Conciliation Courts and the American Psychological Association, and recent
social science literature.
