Event Description
Deadline to Register: Thursday, April 7, 2016
This
one-hour presentation for family law practitioners will provide a basic
understanding of the main public assistance programs that exist in Minnesota for
low-income people: cash assistance, food support, and health care
coverage. During and after the presentation, questions are
encouraged.
The Family Law Section membership will meet prior to the CLE at 9:30 a.m.
Presenter:
Charles H. Thomas, Litigation Support Counsel,
Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Inc.
Charles Thomas has
worked for SMRLS handling government benefits cases and appellate cases since
1977. After working as a staff attorney and managing attorney at the
Mankato office, Mr. Thomas since 2013 supervises the government benefits unit of
five attorneys and one paralegal at the Saint Paul office.
