Amicus Briefs
The MSBA files amicus briefs with the courts on selected issues. Sections and committees must follow procedures under our Bylaws before submitting an amicus brief.
Court Rules
The MSBA petitions the Minnesota Supreme Court for rule changes and submits comments on proposed rule changes. Sometimes comments are submitted to court-related entities such as the Board of Law Examiners, the Board of Continuing Legal Education, and the Court’s various Rules Advisory Committees.
Legislation
The MSBA is the collective voice of the legal profession at the Minnesota Capitol, advocating for a strong justice system and statutory improvements.
