Another Way to Get Updates from the MSBA

by Joe Kaczrowski | Mar 30, 2015

The MSBA has a number of RSS feeds to help you keep up-to-date with new content from the Association.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, but basically it is a way for you to know when new content is published without having to check the website every day.  By subscribing to an RSS feed you get notifications when new content is available automatically.

You can use a number of different web-based news readers to keep up-to-date, but the MSBA uses Google's FeedBurner, which lets you receive updates by email as well.

The MSBA has a number of feeds available.  Want to know when a new job is posted in the Bench & Bar Classifieds?  Subscribe to the RSS feed.  Want to follow Bill Wernz's posts about Minnesota Legal Ethics?  Subscribe to that RSS feed.  You can get updates from the MSBA's blogs, like the Small Firm Soapbox, or you can subscribe to a feed for general MSBA news.

The MSBA also has several social media feeds and campaigns. For example, in conjunction with its new Small Firm Soapbox blog, the MSBA created a new hashtag for members to comment and discuss the posts on Twitter (#MSBASoapbox).  In addition to the 'main' MSBA Facebook and Twitter profiles, the MSBA also has a Twitter account for "MSBA at the Capitol", which is presently featured on the MSBA's homepage, and another for mndocs, which contains updates and other information about the all-new mndocs on HotDocs Market.  Several other MSBA groups maintain social media accounts as well, including for the MSBA's Diversity and Inclusion efforts and the Wills for Heroes program.
