Looking for a way to give back to the community? All of the organizations listed below need volunteer attorneys. Contact them directly for more information about their current needs.
Volunteer attorneys are needed in the following areas: family law, orders for protection, employment law, rental housing repair and evictions, foreclosure, education law, debtor protection and unemployment compensation.
Volunteer attorneys represent youth in the foster care system. Volunteers are also needed to assist in systemic reform including: research, writing amicus briefs and litigation.

Volunteer mediators are needed for Ramsey County Conciliation and Housing Court, Community mediation, co-parenting issues and Community Restorative Justice (CRJ).
Volunteers are needed to provide representation in asylum and detention cases. Volunteers are teamed with experienced immigration attorneys and have staff support.
Ramsey County Housing & Conciliation Court Self-Help Center
Volunteer attorneys are needed to staff a brief legal advice clinic for pro se litigants in housing or Conciliation Court. The clinic is located in the Ramsey County Law Library and is open every Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m.
William Mitchell College of Law Pro Se Clinic
Volunteer attorneys provide brief legal advice and assistance in completing forms during clinics on Saturdays. Volunteers offer assistance with the following issues: Criminal Expungment, Child Support Modification, Dissolution/Divorce, Establishing Custody and Parenting Time and Modifying Parenting Time.
Volunteers are needed to provide pro bono representation in a variety of family law matters, from motion hearings to divorce. Volunteers are also needed to assist pro se family law litigants and to represent survivors of domestic violence at order for protection and harassment restraining order proceedings.
