Deadline
to Register: Monday, October
15, 2018
Discussions of public utilities issues in Minnesota are becoming... more public. For regulatory
staff and members of the Minnesota Bar, the growing intensity
of public input into complex legislative and regulatory decisions is changing how
these discussions unfold, and is certainly having an impact on how
decision-makers weigh issues.
Join
us for a discussion of how public engagement has evolved and the impact this
engagement has in legislative and regulatory decisions. We will
discuss: 1. Why there is growing public interest in energy policy;
2. How stakeholders attempt to engage ordinary citizens in both
legislative and regulatory discussions; 3. The role that public opinion
should play in shaping energy decisions; and 4. How public engagement in
energy discussions is likely to change in the next 5-10 years.
Please
join us for lunch beginning at Noon, followed by the CLE program from 12:30
– 1:30 p.m.
Box
lunch will be provided. Special
meal requests need to be received no later than Monday, October
15.
