Diversity and Inclusion
Our diversity and inclusion goal was to continue to expand diversity outreach.  The Section’s Council set up a subcommittee to work on diversity matters.  In addition, the Council reached out to local law school to expand our diversity (focusing on law students and the “pipeline” for diversity).

Other Section Accomplishments
Members attended the University of MN Meet the Bar Day through the MSBA. Through this opportunity, section members had the opportunity to “advertise” the practice area and develop interest in younger talent.

In an effort to increase section value, we continued to incorporate a social networking reception in our annual seminar.

Pro Bono Outreach
The Council began organizing a half-day seminar for legal aid and public interest attorneys.  The Council will organize the topics and then ask Section members to volunteer to give the presentations.  This will provide an opportunity for Section members to connect with legal aid and public interest attorneys and provide CLE credit for these attorneys.
