The Section’s Annual Meeting was held on June 2, 2022 and 7 people attended.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
What diversity, equity and inclusion goals did the Section include in the 2021-2022 work plan, how did you approach these goals, and what was the result?

 

  • Hosted annual Careers in Communications Law CLE to connect with law students and increase awareness of and diversity in the field of communications law.
  • Partnered with Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers to host a CLE on the topic implicit bias in the legal profession and how it relates to mental health.

     

    Other Section Accomplishments

     

  • Hosted CLEs with two nationally recognized speakers and authors, Jeff Kosseff of the Cyber Science Department of the U.S. Naval Academy and Erika Douglas of Temple Law School.
  • Supported the MSBA High School Mock Trial Program with a $300 donation.
