malpractice claims, to loose lips, to blogging and social media, confidentiality
seems to be on the mind of the Minnesota Lawyers Board and the ABA. This seminar
will take a deeper look at how Rules 1.6 and 1.9(c) are interpreted and what
lawyers should look out for.

Nicholas M. Ryan, Associate Attorney, Law Office of Eric T. Cooperstein.
Nick Ryan is an associate attorney at the Law Office of Eric T. Cooperstein
where he represents and consults with lawyers facing legal ethics issues. Nick’s
practice is devoted to representing lawyers facing ethics complaints and
advising lawyers on how to comply with the Minnesota Rules of Professional
Conduct. Nick also represents bar applicants facing character and fitness
investigations and assists law student with their applications to the Minnesota
Bar of Law Examiners. Previously, Nick was a law clerk at the Office of Lawyers
Professional Responsibility.
