Description:
Increasing use of assisted reproductive technologies and
open adoption, coupled with the recognition of same-sex marriage, have redefined
the meaning of “family.” An issue on the leading edge involves whether a child
can have more than two parents under Minnesota law. Attorney Jason Brown will
discuss his recent experience in successfully concluding an adoption involving
four parents. The family dynamics are as interesting as the legal issues
involved in Lexi’s case.
Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 am,
the CLE program will run from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Lunch is included in your
registration.
LUNCH: We will provide a selection of
sandwiches. For dietary restrictions or a vegetarian lunch, choose the
appropriate selection on the registration screen.

The First National Bank Building Conference Center Training Room is on the
street level, just inside the building entrance at the corner of Fifth and
Minnesota Streets in downtown St. Paul. The building address is 332 Minnesota
Street.
