In this panel discussion with the
Deans of the Minnesota Law Schools, Dean Robert Vischer, Dean Anthony
Niedwiecki, and Dean Garry Jenkins will discuss their schools’ efforts to
improve the diversity of their law school classes and curriculum and to advance
equity and inclusion at their respective institutions. This discussion will be
moderated by law students.

Brandie Burris | Law Student, University of Minnesota
Law School
Brandie Burris is a 3L at the University of
Minnesota Law School. During her second-year, Brandie served on the Black Law
Student Association's executive board and helped steward its partnership with
the law review to publish "This is Minnesota". Now a 3L, Brandie continues to
dedicate herself as a student leader at Minnesota Law. She is a legal writing
coach, a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael J. Davis, and a committee
member on the Federal Bar Association's Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Additionally, Brandie is the Editor-in-Chief of the Minnesota Law Review, Volume
106—becoming the first Black student to hold this position. Brandie is a future
civil and human rights litigator, and will begin her legal career clerking with
the Honorable Nancy E. Brasel. Outside of the law, Brandie is an artist, mom,
storyteller, lecturer, and leadership coach who supports and inspires
organizations and individuals to unlock their full
potential.

Samia Osman is a law student at the
University of Minnesota Law School and co-author of the "This is Minnesota" law
review article.
