Live Webcast
Presentation:
For the first time since the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) was signed into law in 1978, the Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau has issued a new set of rules implementing the
FDCPA. These new rules - which took effect November 30, 2021 - are
referred to as simply "Regulation F" or formally 12 C.F.R. 1006. As the first
comprehensive set of debt collection rules issued interpreting the FDCPA,
Regulation F impacts debt collectors nationwide.
Join us for a dynamic and high-level
overview of some of the main provisions of Regulation F and their impact in the
world of consumer debt collection, including the Model Validation Notice,
Limited Content Voicemail Message, and provisions impacting electronic
communication.
