The presenters will provide an overview of the administrative process of unemployment appeals, from filing, to initial determination, to hearing, request for reconsideration. The presentation will include practical tips, as well as an overview of the statutory framework. After discussing the administrative process, the presenters will discuss important rules, tips, and tricks for administrative appeals on topics ranging from initiating the appeal, gathering and using the administrative record, brief writing, oral argument, and post-decision procedures.
