Writing Workshop for New Lawyers

Event Description

Pre-registration is closed. If you would like to attend, please email Abby Ward at award@mnbars.org .

Currently, all bar association programming is REMOTE-ONLY participation. There will be NO in-person attendance until further notice. Thank you.

As newer lawyers we are building skills constantly and one of them is writing.  This workshop is an opportunity to receive feedback on how to improve your written arguments and fact patterns to present concise and persuasive information to your reader.  We will be led by Karin Ciano, a top legal writer and workshop leader. The session will be seminar style where participants are encouraged to share a piece of writing to receive feedback. Please email your document to Karin Ciano by December 4th.  Whether you use a brief or pleading, please be sure this is a document that can be shared in public. The document should be short (5 pages) or, if you are sending a longer document, please specify which portion of the document you would like to focus on. The limit for the workshop is 10 people, so please RSVP by December 4 to secure your spot.
