Join your colleagues
and members of the appellate judiciary for an outdoor
social hour, followed by our annual meeting, dinner, and a
CLE.
The Ground Yet Unplowed:
Big Cases of the Next Decade
What will be the most interesting
state constitutional and statutory issues litigated in the next decade? In
defiance of physicist Niels Bohr’s admonition that “Prediction is very
difficult, especially about the future,” former Justice David Lillehaug will
take a crack at prognosticating what new subjects will be featured in the
syllabi of Minnesota appellate opinions.
Lillehaug sat on the Minnesota
Supreme Court from 2013-2020. His background includes a stint as United
States Attorney, more than 25 years of complex litigation practice, and a degree
with honors from Harvard Law School. He now practices part-time as senior
counsel at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.
