Co-Sponsored with the Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law Section

This program will be held at 4:30PM in person at the MSBA Office. Remote participation available.

On August 16, 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 was signed into law. Perhaps the most consequential energy-related tax legislation to date, the new law provides a vast array of tax incentives and benefits, including a robust package of energy and climate-related provisions. The IRA’s incentives could result in significant innovation as well as potentially more varied and accessible financing options, while also spurring investment up and down the supply chains. This program will focus on federal and state tax concepts and provisions relevant to upper Midwest developers, investors, and their advisors.
