This series of lunch-hour CLEs features speakers on a variety of topics in appellate child protection matters. Whether you’re taking your first appeal from a child protection matter or your fiftieth, we hope you’ll find some useful tips, information, and best practices from these presentations. Each CLE presentation will occur virtually via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m.

This session features Jon Geffen, Director of the Reentry Clinic, of Mitchell Hamline School of Law who will present on maltreatment appeals and opportunities for reform. Director Geffen was previously an assistant attorney general for the State of Minnesota and a staff attorney at Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services. He litigated maltreatment determinations as a private attorney at Arneson & Geffen PLLC.
