For 21 days, as
part of the YWCA’s Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge, you will
receive a daily email on different topics and will be presented
with challenges such as reading an article, listening to a podcast, reflecting on
personal experience and more. Participation in an activity like this helps us to
discover how racial injustice and social injustice impact our community, to connect with
one another, and to identify ways to dismantle racism and other forms of
discrimination. This is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into racial equity and social justice. We
hope you will join us on this journey, and we can’t wait to get
started!
To supplement your experience, Erikka Ryan, the MSBA, RCBA,
and HCBA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director will be facilitating
discussion/reflection/connection sessions around content twice a week for the 3
weeks of the challenge (Tuesdays, 12-1 & Thursdays 4:30-5:30). We hope you
will take this opportunity to share your experiences, meet accountability
partners, and to talk about ways to implement the tools you are gaining.
Participants in this challenge are invited to attend one discussion
session a week (3 total).
