11:30 am - Resolving Contract Disputes - Using Traditional and Not So
Traditional Approaches
John Harens, Jack
Van de North, Pamela Whitmore and Alex Hontos will identify some of the unique
and counter-intuitive aspects of resolving disputes with public
agencies. Government construction contracting is, in short, different from
commercial construction contracting. When resolving disputes arising from
public projects, parties must be aware of exhaustion requirements, the interplay
of data-practices laws, whether they are negotiating with public officials with the
requisite authority, and the availability of ADR in resolving public disputes.
