April Chat: COVID-era Trials
COVID will continue to impact our country
and the judicial system for some time despite increasing vaccination rates, and
that translates to hybrid litigation and trials. Many people are also preparing
for a new legal field where many things historically done in person (depos,
inspections, etc.) will now proceed remotely even after COVID because of the
cost-effectiveness. Attorney Kevin McCarthy is coming off the heels of a
two-week medical malpractice trial and will talk about how things can be
accomplished effectively even on a virtual platform. This will include a
discussion of the parties’ coordination on IT, particularly the ability to
present experts on Zoom while keeping the jurors engaged. In addition, Attorney
McCarthy will discuss effective strategies for remote litigation.
Join us for a virtual group gathering for
those seeking community. This will be a one-hour Zoom meeting in a relaxed
environment that's focused on connection. The concept is intended to provide an
opportunity to meet new faces. Moderators will facilitate questions and
discussion. All are welcome!

in order to receive remote instructions directly and in
advance.
