In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress enacted legislation to provide relief to American businesses through the Employee Retention Credit (ERTC). The ERTC offers a significant opportunity for businesses to claim a refundable credit on qualifying wages paid to their employees. This program will explore the origins of the ERTC, the expansion of the credit through recent legislation and offer a practical approach toward claiming the credit. Attendees will learn how to advise clients on their potential qualification and the various ways to claim the credit.
